You Can't Prove There Is A God Using Science
"You can't prove there is a God using science" is a false statement you have probably heard many times from atheists and proponents of religion alike. It is based upon the assumption that science is A-Theistic, and has been so since the early 1600's. It is also based upon the assumption that science is limited to investigation and discovery related solely to the natural world, which can be sensed with material sensors, and also that God (as proposed by religion) is immaterial and therefore unable to be sensed with material sensors. But, is it a statement of fact, or is it merely an illusion created by atheists?
This argument has the appearance of being logically sound and is normally conceded by proponents of religion. Because of this it has created a universal illusion that it is truth, and thus is never challenged.
In chess this sort of move is called a "gambit". It is an aggressive move which is designed to put the opponent on the defensive. Depending upon how you react to this move you may be admitting to the instigator that he is stronger, wiser, and more knowledgeable than you, and thus virtually admitting defeat.
If we take the position that there is a God, and that the material universe was created by that God from himself, then there is a nexus between the material universe and God which can be used to prove that there is a God and to derive information about the nature of that God. The nexus is the mechanism by which the universe was and is created.
What this means is that if we know and understand the mechanism by which the universe was created, then we will be able to prove that there is a God and derive some information about that God as well as the created universe. Details of that mechanism are expounded in "God and Creation - an Engineering Perspective".
Scientists, but not their science, became A-Theistic around the time of Galileo (in the early 1600's) as a defensive measure to safeguard themselves against accusation of heresy and consequent aggressive action by the Church that could, and sometimes did, lead to death. Scientists being A-Theistic simply meant that they took no position on religious belief and did not speak out on issues related to religion, and especially the Church. Their science continued to include pursuits like astrology, alchemy, the occult, light, electricity, magnetism, gravity, energy, and force. It was about increasing understanding in connection with all aspects of the universe. Everything was interrelated.
Under the persuasive influence of atheism and its created illusions (particularly over the past 50 to 100 years) many scientists have become Atheistic and openly claim that there is no God, and that you can't prove that there is using science.
However, the reality is that you can prove there is a God using science, and even derive some of His inherent characteristics, when your science is right and correctly integrated with religion. The key ingredients are love, will, and intelligence.
Holding on to Atheism and religious dogma erects a barrier to discovery. Science and Religion must be integrated, just as the material and the immaterial aspects of the universe are integrated (as with mass and energy).
